Hello,

I bought a pvr150 mce last week and am using it in a P2 350 Mhz system
running Debian Sarge. I gave up trying to get it to work it to work
using 0.2.0-rc3j, but 0.3.4 seems to have done the trick. Image & audio
from tuner are great, and changing channels for the pal-europe zone
works fine using ptune.pl .

However, when using the s-video + line in input, things are not so
fabulous.

First of all, the image is a bit grainy, almost like every other pixel
is black. Setting the dnr_spatial to 6 or 8 helps a bit, but I'm not
sure this should be necessary.

A bigger problem is that there is no sound at all from the line-in.
Manually selecting sound source or one of the 5 different s-video /
composite sources doesn't help, playing with the mute/volume settings
doesn't help (incidentally, the mute/volume controls don't work with
the tuner either, but it's no big deal there since there's sound to
begin with).
Ofcourse I checked my wiring, but from doing a "xxd /dev/video24" this
can't be the issue, the data seems to be all zeroes, and even without a
proper connection some line noise should be showing. For sources 6 & 7
(tuner), this obviously does give non-zero data.

I'm quite new to ivtv and can't say I'm beginning to see the big picture
yet, so I might be overlooking something obvious.

I also tried 0.3.4d today, no improvement.

(I have tried a few other firmwares, none led to a result better than
this)

Ofcourse, I'll gladly provide any other info required. No other video
capture devices are present in the system btw.
