For starters, I'd add another line to modprobe.conf:

alias char-major-81-2   ivtv

and I'd add the line

options cx25840 i2c_enable=1,1

for a pvr-500 in the same box as a 350, you don't pass cx25840
i2c_enable options to the 350...

Should be the same as getting a 350 and a 500 to work...
