Hi, This is an attempt to merge two separate threads sumarizing the problems I have with a PVR-350 (tuner=38) and PVR-250 (tuner 55) combo.
The two options I have managed: 1) I put the cards in order 350 - 150 (my original setup since the 350 was the first card I bought). In this scenario, I get every aspect of the 350 card to work perfectly, I can tune the 150 card, but cet an I/O error when I try to get data from the device: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV pointed out to me that the cx25840 module does not load the firmware in this setup. However, nothing I do has managed to make it do so.. 2) I can put the cards in order 150 - 350. INIT IVTV ==================== In this setup, the cx25840 module load the firmware. With some captured input, I may do > cat out1.mpd > /dev/video17 But, nothing happends on the TV. I get an error message when using video16. I can install the framebuffer using > modprobe ivtv-fb ivtv_fb_card_id=1 But nothing happends. When I try to start X on the framebuffer, I get: (EE) IVTVDEV(0): FBIOBLANK: Invalid argument At the end of the log and not even a flicker on the TV screen. ----------------- Obviously, I do not care which order the cards are in, only that I may tune AND see the screen output at the same time.
