The output on my PAL pvr-150 also says 
ioctl: VIDEO_STATUS = Bad, even though I get recordings that I'm 
sattisfied about.

I can't try ptune-ui because the computer with the pvr-150 doesn't have 
X.

This is with ivtv 0.3.5.
