i haven't answer directlty cause i know that if you don't look the faq, you'll still have other classic problems...
Actually I have read the whole FAQ and kernel panic or hard lockups are not mentioned. Disabling noapic is mentioned for 2.4.x kernels, but I have 2.6.x kernel. Nothing about PREEMPT and REGPARM. Could you tell me where did you get this info, please?
