Yes, except that a dxr3 accepts an mpeg2 VIDEO stream only, pcm/ac3 audio
is sent via another chip, the dxr3 will not decompress the audio for you.
I know the dxr3 has an audio output. I have one. Come to think of it, I
think it gets the audio directly
from the DVDROM via a cable. I guess that explains why audio/video
syncing is so easy with a DXR3.
Whereas on the 350 you can send a single AV mpeg2 stream but no ac3 as you
find on a lot of DVD's.
I'm not sure there's any way around sending the chip mp2 audio. I don't
see how it could be synchronized
otherwise.
