i've already written plugins for mplayer and xine for dvd playback, however there are serious audio sync issues. Basically you just need to feed ivtv a PES stream.
the xine one is actually pretty close, but i just don't have the time to work on it anymore :< i've asked several times if anyone wants to take over the development but haven't gotten any serious takers. It's more complicated than it sounds though :) the version i'd written also included navigation support using the ivtv OSD, which is about the only thing that was working well :) So again, if anyone wants to take the code and hack on it, i'll gladly give it to you :) -tmk --- Jesse Guardiani <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > John Harvey wrote: > > >--- Jesse Guardiani <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > > > >> > >> > >>>What is the split in cpu usage between mplayer > and > >>> > >>> > >>X? > >> > >> > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>About 50/50. > >> > >> > >> > >> > >>>Is this PAL or NTSC? > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>NTSC. > >> > >> > >> > >At the moment NTSC defaults to progressive mode > rather > >than interlaced mode but is probably being fed an > >interlaced image.
