That pal-europe frequency is almost certainly wrong. With more digital channels being added, most cable networks in the Netherlands are on a strict 8 MHz layout, and almost always not on the pal-europe layout.

I systematically scanned some large ranges of frequencies.
The one in my sample is the best I could get.
I found one that was almost as good.
The rest could just be qualified as noise with sometimes a few shadows.
The official frequencies of my operators are not better.


I just tried the S-Video input with my digital camera and my gamecube.
Both produce a good image but in B & W.
I don't know if that is significative.

Maybe I should not use a 64bit 2.6.12 kernel compiled with gcc 4.0.
I'll try tomorow on my second boot partition: 32bit 2.6.11 compiled with gcc 3.4.x
