I've seen a few offers to setup a subversion repository for ivtv.
It is my opinion that we should move quickly in that direction.
I've seen offers from Isaac Richards and Axel Thimm.
How quickly can it be setup and be ready for use? Basically we need
a place to put up datasheets (they are now all over the place), have
a svn and a bugtracking thing is also handy. And you need to be able
to download periodic releases and perhaps snapshots. I will certainly not
be involved in setting it up or maintaining it. I have neither time nor
interest in that part of the operation.
One reason for doing this fast is that I want to keep the momentum. I
especially want to move on from 0.3 to 0.4 and do some major cleanups, and
svn is ideal for tracking that.
I can set this all up till the end of the week. I just need some
decisions like trac vs mediawiki/bugzilla. I wouldn't like to come
forward with something the developers wouldn't like.
If noone comes with aclear direction, I'll opt for trac. This doesn't
preclude the use of mediawiki for non-developer related content.
I've taken a quick look at trac and it seems OK. No-nonsense and simple.
A quick question on the CVS->SVN conversion: do you need the actual CVS
repository to do this? Or do you only need access to the CVS server?
In the first case: who has access to the sourceforge ivtv CVS repository?

I would go along with trac, since sounds like what is prefered and I
have no experience with either trac or the mediawiki interfaces. Will
work with any resource setup that I have access to (just not
knowledgeable on how to get this all going from the get-go), sounds great.
Thanks,
Chris
