Hello

In the mailings I read XV is superior than X11. I tried all versions of xv but
output has always been jerky.
X11 looks allright. The PC is a 2.8Ghz, ivtv 0.3.7d, MPlayer 1.0pre7. VOBs are copied to disk. Commands used (with and without cach): - mplayer -vo xv -alang de -nocache -really-quiet -fs "$1"
 - mplayer -vo xv -alang de -cache 8192 -ao sdl -framedrop -really-quiet -fs -vf
scale=720:-2,expand=720:576:::0 "$1"

From reading the mplayer documentation
http://mplayerhq.hu/~diego/DOCS/HTML/en/video.html#xv
it explains: "It must support YUY2 packed, and YV12 planar pixel formats to be
usable with MPlayer".

When I issue xvinfo I can not find a YUY2 section. Is this one of the problems ?
When your setup works, please send me your xvinfo output to compare.

thanks Ruud
