No idea if this would help you, but I had similar spontaneous reboots
with an MSI K8T and AMD64 3200+. I tried everything up to dead chicken
waving. What eventually fixed it for me was to disable the onboard
ethernet, and use a pci nic with a different chipset. I don't know if
it was a DMA problem with the onboard ethernet, or a problem with that
ethernets driver, but I haven't had a reboot since making that change.
