I still watch Mythtv via TVOut, and when I've watched something through the xv code (via xine) there is a residual image of the xv program, it goes once the recording starts to play. Usually results in the wife telling me I've selected the wrong thing.
If the code can be called from the command line, I can initialise the frame buffer when xine finishes and get rid of the image :)

If you post me something I can look at adding it to svn etc. and modifying
the code (unless you want to of course). I assume that we could look for
something like /lib/modules/ivtv_logo and make that an rgba image file we
could just read straight into the frame buffer memory.
