Hi!

I have an Hauppauge-150MCE TV card on an AMD x86_64 dual core PC.
There is an issue with it, perhaps, someone could help me?

At some random point in time the sound suddenly becomes gargling. I can hear
what is being spoken, but in the background there is this strange bubling,
often accompanied by squares on the screen. Sometimes it disappears by
itself, but most often -- no. This makes TV recording virtually useless :-(

I use mplayer to play /dev/video0 , and cat /dev/video0 to save files. I had
this issue with both 0.4.0 driver and with the newer 0.4.1 driver, both
make'd as in the how-to. (I had to change ivtv-firmware.c as in a thread
earlier this month to achieve a success with 0.4.1). I hoped that 0.4.1 will
resolve the sound problem, but no.

I have built the released 2.6.15 kernel, using the proper Mandriva
2-6-12-mdksmp config as a reference. Before I had a 2.6.14 kernel (again,
same effect).

Can anyone put me in the right direction, how to fix this?

With best regards,
Mila
