Very well possible... I had 2.6.13 and 0.4.0 running together, recently upgraded to 2.6.15 and 0.4.1, so have no experience with 2.6.12 and 0.4.1.
2.6.15 and 0.4.1 play *very* nicely together. (although with a PVR-350 you must not forget to enable BT848 support, otherwise there is no msp3400 module, so no sound).
