Hi all. I'm trying to get a hauppauge pvr-350 working with no success at all and I'm beginning to wonder if my card (I got it second hand) is broken.
I've tried KnoppMyth r5a26 (which has ivtv 0.4.0) and Fedora Core 4 with atrpms ivtv packages (driver versions 0.2.0 and 0.4.1) on two different machines (p3-733MHz and p3-450MHz) and last, with 0.4.2 self-compiled on fedora on the 733MHz machine. The symptom is always the same, cat -v /dev/video0 produces nothing and something like this appears in dmesg: ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0xc0cc5605! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0x40045613! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0x40045612! So it sounds like some i2c problems but I've no clue about that. ivtvctl commands for changing inputs and frequencies etc. return ok. Below is dmesg output with 0.4.2 drivers and I've also copied some complete dmesg outputs with modprobe.conf-igs and lspci -v outputs at www.iki.fi/3v/ivtv/ if someone could diagnose and solve my problem.
