I'm trying to get a fresh install going with mythtv and FC4
(2.6.14-1.1656 w/ ivtv 0.4.1), following Jarod Wilson's guide
(http://wilsonet.com/mythtv) and atrpms packages. I have been through
this successfully a number of times in the past, but this is a new
motherboard (VIA chipsets (ugh)) and the whole hotplug thing is new to
me. I have looked through the ivtv, atrpms, and mythtv mailing list
archives without finding an answer I can understand. So, i'm begging
here :)

Every time I attempt a test capture, these three lines show up in dmesg:

ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0xc0cc5605!
ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0x40045613!
ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x21 not found for command 0x40045612!

All the packages installed without incident, my card is recognized, and
I don't get an error message at the console when I attempt to make a
test capture (though there are warnings written to /var/log/messages
each time I try it). The test capture file is created but it is zero
bytes long. I tried going ahead and setting it up in mythtv and note
surprisingly I get errors there about /dev/video0 not existing (though
it does show up in ll /dev/video? and I can run ivtvctl commands on it
from the command line).

It seems odd to me that the latency timer is read as 64 in the lspci
output below, but is read as an 'unreasonably low' 32 in the ivtv kernel
messages and 'set' to 64.

I have tried adding options in modprobe.conf per Jarod's guide (even
though I gather these are no longer required), but no improvement.

Any info you can provide toward helping me get running is greatly
appreciated. Below is some possibly helpful info about my situation.

Thanks - MMcK
