First check if you have the correct cx25840 firmware (14264 bytes long). 
If not, switch to that and try again.

If you are using the correct firmware, then please enter a bug report 
('ticket') here: http://ivtvdriver.org/trac/newticket

Please also attach a file with the IVTV INIT messages from the kernel 
log when you enter the bug report. After entering the ticket you can 
attach a file with those IVTV INIT messages.

I don't have time right now to look into it, but I hope to be able to in 
the near future.
