Well I've verified that mythtvsetup is set to use NTSC, I need to check
the actual DB to make sure it's set appropriately there, however I'm
leaning away from it being a Mythtv issue.

I can stop the mythtv backend process, unload/reload the ivtv module,
tune to a channel with ivtv-tune and test audio by checking the mute
status ivtvctl -Y as well as doing cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg will not
have audio but doing the same thing from /dev/video1 on the same channel
will have audio.

However both seem to be detecting the audio standard as EIAJ and the
specified standard as NTSC-J.

I looked last night for any ivtvctl or ivtv module options to force the
audio standard, but had no luck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
Berant
