Prior to running the mythtv backend process and after the output from 
ivtvctl -U is 'Video standard = 0x00003000' for both video0 and video1.

I tried adding 'options ivtv ntsc=m' to modprobe.conf however it throws 
an error with

ivtv: Unknown parameter `ntsc'

output to dmesg.
