Dominik, Sorry, didn't see everything you wrote at the bottom. Anyway, I guess you tried to upgrade already and had some problems. It looks like your kernel is loading the ivtv modules from somewhere else other than where ivtv copied them (Assuming you ran a make install after you did a make). My system stores kernel modules for ivtv under /lib/modules/2.6.15.4/ivtv.
You might run "find / -name *.ko" to see if you can determine where your kernel is hiding modules at. You should be able to copy the modules out of the source code provided for .6.2 to the proper spot then. Go to the directory in which you uncompressed the IVTV source code (For me this is /root/ivtv-0.4.5) and then go to the driver directory (That would be /root/ivtv-0.4.5/driver for me) and then type cp *.ko /directory_where_your_kernel_stores_modules . That should upgrade it if you've compiled the source for .6.2 (Someone chime in and tell me if I'm right here). Hope this helps you and doesn't confuse you anymore.
