I'm going to create a .deb package with all the required firmware
files in them as soon as I can figure out enough logic to make sure
they'll always be put (or symlinked) in the right location. Hopefully
that will alleviate even more of these problems and will make it
easier all round. Add that to Axel's RPMs it should cover most bases.

Axel, what sort of logic do you use to decide where to put the
firmware files? (I assume different FC releases have different
hotplug/udev locations, and suffers from this problem too?)
