OK. I think I have ivtv successfully loaded now (dmesg at the end) I managed to get half a garbled picture when running cat /dev/video0 > /home/chris/Desktop/test0.mpg, but I have not been able to duplicate it.
Also, when running scantv, all I get is "no station" for all frequencies. I'm in the US with a cable coax plugged into my card.
