I am a newbie trying hard not to ask thata simple question, but I am
stuck for quite a while now....
I have a fresh install of Fedora Core 4, a new PVR-350 and am
following Jarod's generous HowTo for Fedora Core 4, but I am stuck at
the stage trying to get X to run on my PVR-350's TV-out. It seems
that the ivtvdev module isn't loading and that yum didn't do its job.
When I install it,
# yum install ivtvdev
does not yield any errors, but
ls -al /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o
ls: /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o: No such file or directory
I tried copying one of the web, and copying the one used by KnoppMyth without
any success. Even with the copied driver in place:
# ls -al /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o

/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/ivtvdev_drv.o
I get an error in /var/log/Xorg.0.log saying that the ivtvdev driver
was not loaded because "module does not exist." Maybe there is some
missing dependency. but I can't find it. The msp3400 also "failed to load,"
but my audio appears to work anyway.
