Okay, thanks...

But howcome the installation of the ivtv driver also changed my kernel?
This is the current contents of /boot/grub/menu.lst:
title Fedora Core (2.6.17-1.2139_FC5)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17-1.2139_FC5 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb vga=791
        initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.17-1.2139_FC5.img
title Fedora Core (2.6.17-1.2139_FC5smp)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.17-1.2139_FC5smp ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb
vga=791
        initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.17-1.2139_FC5smp.img
title Fedora Core (2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp)
        root (hd0,0)
        kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb
vga=791
        initrd /boot/initrd-2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp.img

2.6.15-1.2054_FCsmp is from the original install, 2.6.17-1.2139_FCsmp is
from doing a 'yum update' right after install and 2.6.17-1.2139_FC5 after
installing the ivtv-kmdl.

That's what made me think that it is a uniproc kernel...

Stanley.
