I just bought myself this fine card to use in a mythtv server but am having much troubles getting it to work.
I originally followed the instruction given in the SuSE howto on the ivtvdriver site, only to find that the tuner I have, Samsung TCPG 6121P30A, is not supported with the 0.6.3 driver needed for the 2.6.16 kernel version in SuSE 10.1. I therefore upgraded to the kernel of the day, which is 2.6.18-rc5 and found that the tuner is supported. This time, however, the tda9887 kernel module is not found, and I can't find this module in the kernel configuration. The problem I am having, with both the old and new kernel, is that the system locks up as soon as I try to read either /dev/video0 or /dev/video1. I have the 64 bit version of suse 10.1 running.
