Here are the details I put in another post. I changed the PCI latency timer
setting in BIOS which removed the latency timer message. However the problem
persists:

----------------------------------

I've recently built a new server that I'm hoping to make a MythTV Master
Server but I'm having problems getting the IVTV drivers to work with the
installed PVR-500.

The 0.4.7 drivers and firmware are installed from ATRPMS on a dual processor
x86_64 CentOS 4.4 host. The boot messages seem to be fine (see below). Running
ivtv-tune yields a 'Signal Detected' message. But running the 'cat /dev/video0
> test.mpg' test yields a zero byte file and the following messages:

ivtv0 warning: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv0 warning: ENC: (0) DMA Error 0x00000001 00000001
ivtv0 warning: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv0 warning: ENC: (1) DMA Error 0x00000001 00000001
ivtv0 warning: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv0 warning: ENC: (2) DMA Error 0x00000001 00000005
ivtv0 warning: ENC: REG_DMAXFER 2 wait failed
ivtv0 warning: ENC: (3) DMA Error 0x00000001 00000001
ivtv0 warning: ENC: REDO DMA took too many tries.
ivtv0 warning: Error Encoder DMA
ivtv0 warning: Couldn't find start of buffer within the first 256 bytes

The same thing happens on both tuners.

Can anyone provide any suggestions on the next step?

Thanks,
Kirk Bocek
