OK, next test. First you should revert the last msp3400-kthreads.c
patch. That didn't work out.
Next load the msp3400 with module option 'standard=3' and
run --log-status again for a NICAM and a mono channel. It's really very
peculiar that it doesn't seem to detect the mono channel.
