No, that's the problem: it's included in x11-drivers/xf86-video-ivtvdev.

I did a full recompile of the kernel (gentoo-source-2.6.18-r3) and ivtv
(0.8.1) and both compile fine. The x11-drivers/xf86-video-ivtvdev is the
one that generates above errors, may that's the reason it's hard-masked?

I'll try to take Ian Campbell's advise (the other genius :-) ) and see
if I can apply the patch from

I'll let you know if it works out...
