Ok, I solved the framebuffer issue (part 1): it's a gentoo bug that does
not install the ivtv-fb, see
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156163

(part 2): Do you know on what sources to apply this patch? Gentoo gets
the sources from
http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/xdriver/0.10.6/ivtv_xdriver_src_0.10.6.tgz, but
it looks like the patch does not apply to this one?
