Most, if not all MCE remotes (and sensors) are manufactured by Topspeed. My Shuttle MCE remote bears little resemblance to most MCE 2005 remotes, but the board inside is branded Topspeed, and after adding the USB ID to lirc_mceusb2.c, it works fine.
