I saw the changelog for the 0.4.8 driver and got
excited about the tinny audio fix for the prv-150s.

The good news, it does indeed fix the tinny audio
on my pvr 150!!

The bad news, if I switch to that tuner my load
spikes up to about 30, making the box completely
unusable.

It seemed like the biggest offender was ivtv-enc-vbi.

This was done by switching to live tv, with a default
to the pvr 350, then switching tuner inputs to the 150.

Also of note, just watching recorded programs lead to a
load of 5.

I switched back to 0.4.2 to solve the load problems and
continue with the tinny audio.

FWIW, I turned the box off, unplugged, and then tuned the
power to the box on and off to make sure there was no
residual power stored in any rogue capacitors anyplace ;)

This is kernel 2.6.11-1.14 on FC3.

Thanks for all the development work!

Scott
