Hello, I have noticed an odd problem with using ivtv-radio on my
PVR-500. I spent a few hours pulling my hair out trying to get it
working for the first time (never tried it before) and most of the
standard practices such as ivtv-radio -d /dev/radio1 -f 107.7 and such
would yield static over the sound endlessly, and I was certain the
antenna was hooked up properly.

First off I am using kernel gentoo-2.6.17-r8 and ivtv driver 0.7.0

I was about to give up until I noticed something strange from...

ivtvctl --log-status -d /dev/video1
ioctl VIDIOC_LOG_STATUS ok
   ivtv1: =================  START STATUS CARD #1  =================
   < cut >
   tuner 3-0060: Tuner mode:      radio
   tuner 3-0060: Frequency:       1.07 MHz  <----- eh?
   tuner 3-0060: Standard:        0x00000000
   tuner 3-0060: Signal strength: 0
   tuner 3-0060: Stereo:          no
   tuner 3-0061: Tuner mode:      undefined
   tuner 3-0061: Frequency:       331.25 MHz
   tuner 3-0061: Standard:        0x0000b000
   < cut >
   ivtv1: ==================  END STATUS CARD #1  ==================

I guess a frequency value of 107700 and it started working just fine!
What confuses me though is this normal behaviour or a change that I am
not aware of? It got me when I would try to scan for stations and
absolutely nothing would come up, being within listening range of at
least 20 stations I found that strange indeed...

After poking around after getting it working I found this thread...
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/22874

Rather curious now if anyone else has seen this behaviour or am I
alone... or did I not search the mailing list enough? Should I post
my dmesg ivtv output? I have a PVR-150 MCE and PVR-500 with Samsung
tuners.

Thanks
