I have problems with the activation of my Hauppauge 350 TV card.
I've followed the guide at edgy IVTV guide

As far as I can judge the activation of the IVTV driver was succesfull.
Also the setting of the frequency went ok:

 ivtv-tune -t europe-west -c E12  ==> /dev/video0: 224.250 MHz

(I'm living in Belgium. Our television distributor is Telenet. 224.250 
Mhz is the frequency for the VTM channel)

But when I issue:  mplayer /dev/video0 I get only a screen with noise

For the moment I'm a bit disappointed because the reason I bought the 
350 was because it  was  one  of the  cards that was best supported 
under  Linux. Therefore I've the feeling that may be some detail 
(ivtvctl setting ?) must be changed but I have no clue what I should try

I hope someone can help me solve this problem.
