Hello Hans,

Have installed a machine with windows xp os and tested with hauppauge
supplied TV software. Tested every channel which had a sound detection
problem when on linux - on windows (wintv2000 or wintv32 TV viewer
software) all these channels have sound. I am not sure, but on my
perception, when on windows, tuning a channel for sound takes longer
comparing to linux - by a second, maybe less.

I don't know how to tell what magic wintv uses to achieve this, but here
is an output of a windows program "prodinfo.exe" which came with tuner
card software. If this is not what you are looking for - just tell me what
other information you need:

No, this is correct. Video is PAL-DK which falls in the general BDGHI
group. Audio is A2-DK1 with NICAM. You really don't want to know what a
mess TV standards are :-)

It'll be interesting to see what happens under Windows.
