Don't mean to be impatient and bump this one... but has anyone seen this
problem with the combination I have listed?... Hans... can you weigh in on
this issue at all? I intend to do consecutive downgrading until I find a
working combination...

Thanks,

Andy

Ok, well... with udev-103... coldplug must be removed, but the "coldplug"
feature of udev is indeed trying to load the module(s).

One new thing I have learned... that I don't have a problem with the
PVR-500 by itself. But, the PVR-350's lock up if present when udev loads
the module.

I currently am running ivtv version 0.9.1 .. on kernel 2.6.19-gentoo-r2

"lspci -v"

00:0a.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15
MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV PVR-350
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 10
        Memory at c8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

00:0b.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15

        Memory at cc000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]

Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV PVR 500 (1st unit)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 5
        Memory at d0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

02:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC16
(CX23416) MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc. WinTV PVR 500 (2nd unit)
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 11
        Memory at d4000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

I can't give any good output of the ivtv module load... since if I try to
load the ivtv module while one of the PVR-350's is present... my system
completely hard-locks.

Please advise.
