Hi,

I'm using Ubuntu 6.10 and a WinTV PVR-500
I have tried various settings for my card. I'm able to view
video from input connected to the composite input.
But when I try to view input from my tuner all I get is static.
I have tested the cable on a normal tv and it works.
The frequency of a working channel is 238.25 (Kanaal 2 for those in
Belgium)

I edited the .ivtv-tune file with this content:

device /dev/video0
freqtable europe-west
channel E2
frequency 23825

I have tried
 ivtv-tune -teurope-west -cE2 -f238.25

 ivtv-tune -teurope-west -cE2 -f23825

 ivtv-tune -teurope-west -cE2 -f238,25

But none of them gives anything.
You can see the output at http://www.blicbox.be/files/voorbeeld.avi

All I can see from the ivtv output is:
[17179597.396000] tuner 1-0061: tuner type not set

This full output is listed bellow.
Is this a newbie error ? :) Any solutions for this ?
Or is it more complicated and do you require more information?

Thank you.
Timothy
