Hi,

I have an old AMD K7 700 with an Avermedia TVCapture98 card, which can
capture video with low quality.

I was thinking to buy a MPEG hardware encoder card like Hauppauge
WinTV-PVR-150, for getting better home work video quality, without
overloading CPU.

The VideoHelp people keep a Capture card list where I found any ones
working in Linux and I can't see in your IVTV Supported hardware list:
        - Dazzle DVC II
        - Pinnacle DC10 Plus
        - Optibase Moviemaker Plus

        And now the questions:

1.- What card do you recommend me for correct Linux working, not
forgiving that composite video mpeg hardware encoding is my first
target?

2.- Can my old CPU gives any problem?

3.- Is correct the VideoHelp List about that cards I mentioned?

4.- They are selling Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1300, but I guess IVTV drivers
don't support this card, althogh it don't appear in the IVTV Supported
hardware, am I right or is there possible to configure it as it be a
WinTV-PVR-150?

Thanks a lot.
