I too have a PVR500 w/ Samsung tuners and love it. I also have a PVR150 (a
real one!)
to compare it to. Pre kernel 2.6.18 ivtv 0.8.x I wouldn't use the 500 but with
2.6.18 and 0.8.2 my 500 is wonderful. On par with my 150 (some channels even
come in better), except for channel 45
