Hi!
I'm having a small problem. I was running Ubuntu 6.06 before and didn't
have any problems. I upgraded to 6.10 months ago, had tons of problems, so
then I downgraded back to 6.06 again.
I just got a new capture card and it wasn't recognizing it in 6.06, so I
upgraded again to 6.10. Hoping my problems would be resolved, they
weren't. My new capture card works fine and it's being recognized, but now
I'm back to my same old problems again. Here are the stats...
Ubuntu 6.10 Server
uname -a: Linux chorizo 2.6.17-10-generic #2 SMP Tue Dec 5 21:16:35 UTC 2006
x86_64 GNU/Linux
Processor: amd64 dual-core 4200+
Capture Cards: Hauppauge PVR-150 (old one), and Kworld ATSC-110 (new one).
(I was going to use the PVR-150 still for standard-def, and the kworld
atsc-110 for hi-def).
I will include the dmesg output below...
Basically, what happens is that the box becomes locked in mythtv. If I do a
dmesg, I see...

-----end dmesg----
And I just see all the repeats. I don't know what the nxt2004: timeout
waiting for tuner lock thing is; I'm pretty sure it's the hd card not being
able to lock onto a channel. However, the ivtv part is what's killing me.
I've seen some posts narrowing it down to the processor (x86_64), but I
really would hate to change the distro, drop down to i386 mode, or go back
to Ubuntu 6.06.
Thank you for any help or time you can spare in helping me out!
Mike
