The modinfo command on the audio chip for the PVR-150 does not provide any useful settable options (useful in terms of my problem):
# modinfo cx25840 filename: /lib/modules/2.6.20-15-generic/kernel/drivers/media/video/cx25840/cx25840.ko license: GPL author: Ulf Eklund, Chris Kennedy, Hans Verkuil, Tyler Trafford description: Conexant CX25840 audio/video decoder driver srcversion: 5C57B50756916F7A61362E5 depends: i2c-core,v4l2-common vermagic: 2.6.20-15-generic SMP mod_unload 586 parm: firmware:Firmware image [default: v4l-cx25840.fw] (charp) parm: debug:Debugging messages [0=Off (default) 1=On] (int) parm: force:List of adapter, address pairs to boldly assume to be present (array of short) parm: probe:List of adapter, address pairs to scan additionally (array of short) parm: ignore:List of adapter, address pairs not to scan (array of short) One thing I have not tried is to play around with the new I2C option in the ivtv module. I'm going to give that a try to see if the sound problem clears up.
