Those particular MythTV errors are nothing to worry about. MythTV is just trying to figure out whether to use the old ioctls or new ioctls to set up the device. The gripe is just noise about the old ioctls not working. I was going to suggest that you try and use v4l-dbg to dump the registers for the cx25843 and wm8775 (or whatever audio mux chip your card has) and diff them for cases when the audio was tinny and when it wasn't. However, the wm8775 driver doesn't support dumping it's registers (yet), so you can't do that easily. Since both of these devices affect sound and are controlled via i2c, it may be worth loading the ivtv module with # modprobe -r ivtv # modprobe ivtv newi2c=1 to see if intermittent failures of i2c communications may be causing the tinny audio problems. -Andy _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
