Greetings,

 I've got a WinTV HVR-1600, and I've gotten the cx18 driver to load but 
I'm not able to get it to tune any digital channels. On the analog side 
of the card with v4l, I do get video when doing "cat /dev/video1 > 
test.mpg" but the quality is VERY poor. In MythTV backend setup using 
the channel scanner on DVB0, the tuner is unable to lock any channels 
(it should pick up ~10 channels).

This is on a Pentium 4 model 603 (3Ghz HT), i915G chipset, with the 
latest cx18 driver as of 7/10/08 at 23:41 CST. OS is MythBuntu 8.04LTS, 
with all updates applied.

With the same error reported for every channel. I don't know if my cable 
system is actually QAM64 though, and there's not a scan template for 
QAM64. I also tried the MythTV scanner with every combination of 
frequency table, starting frequency, and QAM mode. None resulted in any 
channels found - it's like the cable isn't even plugged in (but yes, it 
is, and I have replaced it *twice* so it's extremely unlikely to be a 
wiring problem).

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the driver, or I'm just not 
getting something right. This is the first time I've tried to use an 
ATSC/QAM card with Linux. It may be worth noting that there is also a 
PVR-150 installed in this machine, and it is working absolutely perfectly.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for things to try. My goal is to get 
unencrypted QAM channels to be available to MythTV.
