You locked on to only 2 RF carriers.  I don't have cable/QAM available
to me, but the number do look kind of odd.

Here's what I have in my ~/.mplayer/channels.conf for 8-VSB terrestrial
ATSC in my area:

With the above channles.conf, I can watch a station with mplayer using
something like:

$ mplayer dvb://WJLA-HD

You might want to try just an antenna directed at the nearest major city
to see if you can scan for some ATSC terrestrial broadcasts and tune to
them.
