You could probably switch to to Composite 1 and back to Tuner to get the audio restarted. > Any Idea why audio stops playing??? My first guess would be that the audio microcontroller in the cx25843 mutes the audio as it searches for an audio standard in the tuner SIF. What does $ v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video0 --log-status show before and after you lose sound? After I get my last major cx18 bug fix finalized, I was going to start looking at ivtv/cx28540 problems: tinny audio on line in, and the random audio mute by the microcontroller. I just haven't had time yet. I also need to get a decent set of speakers for my dev machine that doesn't make all audio sound tinny due to being poor quality speakers. What I have now for speakers on that machine is just pitiful.
