Hello.

I'm trying to install ivtv drivers on an old AMD Duron 650 machine to drive
a pvr350 like a video playback server.

Installed in a mirror hd enviroment a debian 6.02 and everything seems ok.

"lspci" reports:
00:08.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC15 MPEG-2
Encoder (rev 01)

"dmesg | grep ivtv" reports:

Now i suppose i need to download firmware files and put them in the correct
folder, BUT i cannot found correct firmware AND cannot find an "HOTPLUG"
directory :(

Tryied to get firmware from there:
http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/ivtv/firmware/ivtv-firmware.tar.gz
BUT "tar xvf ivtv-firmware.tar.gz" reports an invalid tar file (italian
language distro):
tar: Questo non sembra un archivio tar
tar: Passaggio alla prossima intestazione
tar: Uscita con stato di fallimento in base agli errori precedenti

ALL other firwares in the http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/ivtv/firmware/ folder
seems to be corrupted (except cx18...) and also "tar xvf
xf86-video-ivtv-1.1.2.tar.gz" (downloaded from
http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/xf86-video-ivtv/ ) fire's the tar error for NOT a
tar file.

"tar xvf ivtv-1.2.0.tar.gz" on archive downloaded from
http://dl.ivtvdriver.org/ivtv/stable/
goes well, but "make" gives:
make[2]: Entering directory `/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-686/build'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `modules'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-686/build'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/playback/ivtv-1.2.0/i2c-drivers'
make: *** [all] Error 2

now i really don't know what to do :(

Help please :D any hint will be welcomed
