Trying to set up a PVR system on a Epia M10000 using PVR-350 (model 988
it says on the box, a sticker on top of "993"). It appears to load
properly until it is setting "Tuner 38". This gives "i2c client addr:
0x61 not found!"
An atempt to run scantv give:
Dec 8 01:57:41 r2d2 kernel: saa7115: status: 0xc0
Dec 8 01:57:41 r2d2 kernel: saa7115: decoder disable output
Dec 8 01:57:41 r2d2 kernel: ivtv: i2c client addr: 0x61 not found!
Dec 8 01:57:41 r2d2 kernel: saa7115: decoder enable output
That simply means that your tuner module is not loaded. Note that the
tuner module does *not* ship with the ivtv driver. We use the tuner
module from your kernel. You can build the tuner driver by selecting
the BTTV, CX88, or SAA7134 driver in your kernel build options.
See http://ivtv.no-ip.com/new_tuners for more detailed information.
