Hi Kim,

I do not think so. There are some explicit steps in Wilsons Howto to
force the PVR-350 on /dev/fb1 and actually the system manages to display
the X cursor on the TV before the session freezes.

In the mean time I have installed FC2, but without luck. I did not
manage to make X run here either and now I could not even tune the
PVR-350 to receive anything. Now I am installing FC3 again and I have
ordered a nVidia FX 5200 to use for output.

But thanks for the advices
Niels Dybdahl

Hi Niels,

I would say that when you have this in modprobe.conf:
<>alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias char-major-81-1 bttv

Then in xorg.conf should read:

        Option "fbdev" "/dev/fb0"
and not:
        Option "fbdev" "/dev/fb1"

Good luck,
Kim.
