One brief update to my rather lengthy email:
It seems I can get near a channel, but the tuner never seems to tune "into" the channel, i.e. for some channels the static looks sometime colorfull, as if I'm just off by a few kHz. But any finetuning with ptune-ui, ptune and/or ivtvctl has not given me any clear picture.
Additionally, I've tried different phillips tuners, but to no avail.
Right now I'm getting depressed, that I have not gotten any channel yet.
Anyone with a hint?
