I've started pulling the pieces together so I can test and tweak.
Sanity check: Which version of Java are we officially (a) compiling under and (b) compiling for? I currently have OpenJDK 11 and 19 installed. As checked out, the head branch's build says it's expecting folks to use Java 1.3; the earliest version 11 can be told to compile for is 1.6.
