I always use the beta versions for my work, and I never experienced any
severe problems, so I reported none. On the one hand, one could conclude
that beta versions are not necessary. On the other hand, I would rather
use stable versions if I were in a critical phase of work (finishing a
paper, for instance). Thus, I would plead for keeping at least one beta
version per final version.

If the beta versions are as stable as the final ones, it doesn't hurt.
The other way round is not good. Just my 2 cents.

I have none.
